TORRANCE, Calif. (August 24, 2012) –
Toyota Financial Services (TFS) announced that the new Prius C is now a vehicle option available to recent college graduates who want to take advantage of the company’s College Grad Rebate Program. TFS offers a $1,000 rebate to qualified college graduates toward the purchase of any new selected vehicle, the Toyota Prius C now being one of them.
Another cool thing is that the Prius C is the first hybrid available through this program. What the College Grad Rebate Program is trying to do is they want to help with the transition from college to workforce.
I believe Toyota is giving these grads rebates betting on the fact that they get jobs right out of college to pay the car loan. I think it’s smart for Toyota to include the Prius C in the college grad program because hybrid cars are hot now and a college grad would love to get a $1,000 rebate on one.

The $1,000 rebate for college graduates is a good incentive but these cars are expensive. I can’t imagine how much the monthly payment could be after taxes and interest. The degree does not guarantee a great salary right away.
