Refuel.....at home!

That’s right.  The newest addition to the Prius family is the Prius Plug-In.  You literally plug your car in and it recharges the battery, allowing you an additional 15+ mpg more than the other Prius'.

Cute colorful commercial, catchy, cheery music and the only words uttered are, “Refueling at home. It’s possibile with the new Prius Plug-in.”  I think they could have maybe added this additional info that I looked up about how it assists the increased efficiency of your gas mileage.

Cost of Gas Keeps Going Up

According to http://gaspredictor.com/ prices of gas are simply going up and there's nothing you can do about it, right?

WRONG there is something you can do, you can start driving cars like the Toyota Prius which has a MPG: city 53/Hwy 46

According to Kelly Blue Book http://www.kbb.com/ the Toyota Prius is rated highest in MPG.

So with the cost of gas increasing it would be wise for your pocket book to invest in the         Toyota Prius.

Tell me what you think

Thanks again

Update to "Tekked Out" NASCAR Prius for Charity

I originally reported on this tricked out Toyota competition on 10/5/12.  We have an update on Clint Bowyer’s tekked out Prius.

In addition, I’d like to comment on another post that states that the Prius should have a body reconstruction to make it more sexy and appealing to the newer generation purchaser that they are attempting to attract. (Side note: I do agree that they could make a more visually appealing model).

Mr. Bowyer summed it up quite eloquently with this statement,

“When you think of a hot rod, you don’t think of a Prius.  A young, sophisticated global thinker meets a connected, socially conscious traveler – that’s the theme of the Tekked-Out Prius”

To read the whole story, and to see the pictures of the progress of this unique Prius, check out this link for Toyota Newsroom: http://goo.gl/IVUDu

The All New 2013 Toyota Prius

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2E5TU4MsLQ&feature=related

Dear Toyota,

I am a fan of the Prius but the look of the car hasn't changed very much since the Prius has been introduce. This plane and simple look is played out, its time for a change of look or make over. How about a look that would appeal to a younger generation or even give the Prius more sex appeal. I think I speak for whole lot of people who are young and are environmentally friendly that would love to own a Prius but choose not to because the look of the Prius does not represent who they are or their own personal style.

Let me know what you think

Prius is not Hollywood

This is a cute commercial that shows a totally glam, Hollywood-Type that tears off all her designer threads to reveal that underneath, she is just a normal wife and mother.

This commercial combines benefits and features promotions by illustrating how the car always saves you money with the amazing gas mileage, spaciousness and safety technology to be able to take care of your family needs

The new Prius is for everyday people, tying into their slogan “A Prius for Everyone.”

Mobile Apps and Ads for Prius C

MobileMarketer.com has uncovered a “two-pronged approach” to Prius’ mobile marketing repertoire.  Not only are they utilizing mobile web browsers, but shopping tool apps as well to gain the attention of the younger, tech-savvy clientele that they wish to capture. Not only does this give consumers more points of access, but increased opportunity to gain interest and prompt a buying decision.

Mobile ads are seen everywhere, from Urbanspoon to Words with Friends and everything in between…Yahoo, Facebook, Huffington Post, Amazon.com and College Humor.

They have even teamed up with Hasbro to provide some continuity with their YouTube and television commercials that are inspired by the now-retro and nostalgic game of Life to try and make the connection that Prius C can help you “overcome bumps in your daily life” (mobilemarketer.com)

The down side….Prius is not the only one using this media vehicle.  I play Words with Friends, and I have yet to see any Prius ads, but just last night alone, I noticed the same Honda Accord ad 4 times and 2 Lexus ads.

"Tekked Out" NASCAR Prius for Charity

This is a great publicity stunt and attention grabber for Toyota!  Two NASCAR favorites and two NHRA drag racing teams are in competition with one another to create the most awesome racing Toyota.

The winning team is awarded $50,000 to donate to the charity of their choice.

You can vote on your favorite “tekked out” Toyota starting Oct. 20, through one of the many online media channels that they use:  Toyota racing dream build app, Toyota racing Facebook page, Toyota racing Twitter feed or Toyota racing YouTube channel.

All these cars will be displayed at the SEMA Auto Show in Las Vegas where the winner will also be announced on Oct. 30.

What a great way to saturate the market and expose Toyota lines, including the Prius, to people that might not typically be interested in them.

I’d love to know what you think about this challenge….who do you want to win?

So How Easy Is It To Buy A New

Toyota Prius

So I wanted to see how easy is it to buy a new Prius through Toyota Financial Services. So I went on to Toyota Financial Services and found out that they have many different options to help you buy a new or used Toyota Prius or even help you with a Lease.

Some of the cool features that Toyota Financial Services have is estimate your payments, buy or lease, apply for a loan online, and the most important feature is you can get help online or by phone 24 hours a day. I tried the online feature to see how long it would take to get a response and it was instant and then I tried the phone and that was instant also.

Toyota Financial Services makes buying a Prius online easy and simple almost anyone can do it. Toyota made the site easy to use and understand. Customer service is outstanding for online decisions and  purchases.

Check the site out for yourself and let me know what you think

Prius 4 Everyone

I recently came across a new Prius commercial that features the four new 2012 Prius models

I have been looking at the ads Toyota has put out this year for the Prius and I have noticed a common theme. In a previous commercial the Prius was compared to the "Game of Life", targeting 20-30 year old college students. The commercial show owning a Prius is an important part of growing up and being a successful professional.

This new Prius commercial is also targeting young people, as well as older. I think the when the Prius first came out, it wasn't targeted or appealing to young people. With Toyota rolling out four new Prius models, it is very clear they are trying to appeal to everyone, even us college students.

If you want to read more about the Game of Life commercial, check out our blog about the commercial.
